The Oberoi Bangalore

This is a bit different from the main hotel. We are located at 310, A Block, in the Gruhalakshmi Apartments on S M Road, near Jalahalli Cross. It’s an apartment setup in Bangalore, so it’s not the big fancy building people usually associate with The Oberoi. We handle a lot of the residential or administrative side of things from here. The neighborhood is a mix of homes and small shops. It’s a bit away from the main city center, so it’s quieter than you’d expect. We have a small crew working here. The office space is basically a converted apartment, so it feels a bit cramped when we have meetings. We spend a lot of time on the computer or handling phone calls. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up and we have to walk the stairs, which isn't fun in the heat. We don't have a big sign outside or anything. It’s just a practical place for us to manage the behind-the-scenes work. Most of the people living in the block are just regular families going about their day. We try not to be too noisy. It’s not a glamorous spot, but it’s where the actual work happens to keep things running smoothly elsewhere. We just focus on our tasks and try to get home before the Bangalore traffic gets too bad in the evening.
