The Leela Palace Kempinski Bangalore

This is the big building on Old Airport Road that most people in Bangalore know pretty well. I work here along with hundreds of other people who keep the whole place running. It is a very large property with a lot of gardens and long hallways. My day usually starts early, before the sun is even fully up, making sure things are ready for the people staying here. It is not all fancy carpets and chandeliers like it looks from the outside; behind the scenes, there are a lot of kitchens, laundry rooms, and staff areas that are always buzzing with activity. We spend a lot of time walking from one end of the building to the other. It is a lot of work to keep a place this size going. We have to coordinate with the cleaners, the cooks, and the people at the front desk. Sometimes it gets incredibly busy when there are big events or weddings happening in the ballrooms. You see people from all over the world coming through the lobby every hour. We just focus on our specific tasks, whether it is making sure the rooms are tidy or the food is ready on time. It is a lot of standing on your feet all day. Even though it looks very grand, for us, it is just our workplace where we come every day to do our jobs.
