The Laser Pain Relief Clinic

Working on Brigade Road is always interesting because there is never a dull moment outside the front door. The Laser Pain Relief Clinic is situated right in the middle of all that action. You can hear the city moving all day long while we are inside working with the patients. It’s a central spot, which makes it handy for people coming from different parts of the city. Inside, the clinic looks like any other medical office, with rows of chairs and some tables for the equipment. We use lasers for the pain treatments, so there are a lot of cords and machines that we have to keep tidy. It’s a constant job keeping the place organized. The staff here is pretty small, and we mostly just get on with what needs doing. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s more about the practical side of things. People come in with back aches or sore knees, and we get them settled into the treatment rooms. Sometimes the elevators in the building are a bit slow, so we tell people to give themselves a few extra minutes. It’s a busy environment, but we try to keep a steady pace so nobody feels rushed. On rainy days, the floors get a bit muddy from the foot traffic, but that’s just how it goes on Brigade Road. We’re just here doing our bit every day.
