The Lalit Hospitality

Our office is at 132 Paschattya Para Road in the Rajpur area of Kolkata. It’s a bit out of the main city center, which is actually kind of nice because it’s not as loud. Rajpur has a lot of trees and narrow streets that can be a bit of a squeeze if two cars are trying to pass each other. The building we are in is 132, and it’s a pretty standard structure for this part of Kolkata. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change a bit. Some new shops have opened up down the road, but the general feel is still the same. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and paper and us trying to keep everything organized. Hospitality work involves a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff that isn't very glamorous. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at schedules. The weather in Kolkata can be pretty brutal with the humidity, so we’re thankful for the fans in the office. Sometimes the rain gets so heavy that the road outside gets a bit flooded, but we just wait it out. It’s a decent place to be based. We don’t do anything too fancy here, just our daily work. It feels more like a small community than a big business district, which suits us just fine. There's always tea being made somewhere in the building and people chatting.
