The Lalit Ashok, Bangalore

The Lalit Ashok has been a part of the Bangalore landscape for a good while now. Being located in Karnataka, India, we get all sorts of people walking through our doors every day. Some are just here for a quick meeting while others stay a bit longer to see the city. It’s a big property with a lot of green space, which is nice because Bangalore can get pretty crowded and noisy these days. We spend a lot of our time making sure the rooms are tidy and the gardens look decent for whoever happens to be visiting. It’s not always perfect, but we try our best to keep things running smoothly without too much fuss. The staff here are mostly locals who know the area well, so they can usually tell you where to go if you’re looking for something specific in town. We don't really go for that high-pressure sales talk you hear from big chains sometimes. We’d rather just let the place speak for itself. It gets quite busy during the wedding season, and you’ll see lots of decorations and people in fancy clothes everywhere. In the evenings, it’s a bit quieter and you can actually hear the birds in the trees if the traffic isn't too bad outside. It's just a place to stay and rest your head while you're in this part of India. We’ve been around through many changes in the city and we’re still here.
