The Hotel Times

If you come over to 3-A, Casa Miller, you’ll find us. We’re at 96, Nandidurg Road. It’s a nice enough building, though the elevator is a bit slow sometimes. The Hotel Times is basically just a few of us in a room surrounded by stacks of magazines and old newspapers. We spend our time writing about what’s happening in the hospitality world, but our own office is pretty basic. We have some computers, a few filing cabinets that don't quite shut right, and a lot of empty coffee mugs. It’s a quiet place mostly, except when we’re approaching a deadline, then it gets a bit frantic with everyone typing at once. We don't really have a big corporate setup. It’s more like a workshop where we put stories together. Nandidurg Road is a good spot, there are some trees outside our window which is a nice change from the usual city view. We’ve been here for a while and the routine is the same every week. We check what the hotels are doing, talk to people on the phone, and try to keep our records straight. It’s honest work and we don’t try to make it sound more exciting than it is. Sometimes we go downstairs for a walk just to stretch our legs. It’s just a regular office life for us here at Casa Miller. We like the neighborhood and the people around.
