The Park Hotel Bangalore

You can find us at Sowparnika House on 4th Cross in the Chowrra Reddyappa Layout. We are tucked away in Mariannapalaya, near the H.A. Farm Post. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it feels a lot different than the big commercial hubs in Bangalore. The hotel is basically a converted house, which gives it a bit of a homey feel, even if the stairs are a bit narrow. We don’t have a big lobby or a fancy concierge desk. Usually, it’s just one of us sitting near the entrance ready to help out. We spend a lot of time sweeping the front porch and making sure the rooms are tidy. The guests who stay here are usually looking for something quiet and affordable. We don't offer anything extravagant. There’s a small kitchen where we make tea and simple meals if someone asks. The area is quite green, which is nice compared to the concrete parts of the city. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or so, but we have some backup for the lights. It’s a small operation run by a few of us who live nearby. We aren't trying to compete with the big chains. We just provide a place for people to sleep when they are in this part of town. It’s a simple, straightforward business and we take it one day at a time. It works out well for us and the guests too.
