The Grand Ashok

The Grand Ashok is situated over in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, or RR Nagar as most of us call it. Specifically, we are at number 498 on the 1st Main road, right near 5th Cross in the 5th Stage of the Beml Layout. It is a nice enough area of Bangalore-98, though it has changed a lot since the layout first started filling up with houses and shops. Our place isn't one of those massive glass towers you see in the city center. It feels more like a part of the neighborhood. We spend our days here dealing with all sorts of visitors and local folks who stop by for different reasons. The staff here is mostly local, so we know the shortcuts to avoid the traffic on the main road. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, but we have a backup to keep the lights on so work doesn't stop. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or trying to look like something we aren't. We just focus on the tasks at hand, making sure the paperwork is sorted and the building stays in good shape. If you ever find yourself wandering around the Beml Layout, you will probably see our building. It is a busy spot but we try to keep things organized so nobody gets too stressed out during the shifts.
