The Grand Ashok

You can find The Grand Ashok over on 1st Main Road in Swathanthragar. Malleshwaram is a busy part of Bangalore, and our spot at U-7 is right in the middle of all that noise and activity. It’s a place where people come and go quite a bit every day. The building has been here for a while, and it shows its age in some spots, but it’s a sturdy place to work. We spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure everything is where it should be before the next person walks in. It’s not one of those big, flashy corporate places you see in the magazines. We just have a small team here making sure the daily tasks are finished on time. Some days are louder than others, especially when there’s a lot of traffic on the main road just outside our door. We have a lot of regular faces who stop by to say hello. The lobby isn't huge, but there's enough room for a few chairs for people to sit. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us keeping the place running day in and day out. Sometimes the lightbulbs need changing or a door squeaks, and we just handle it ourselves. It feels like a neighborhood spot because that’s exactly what it is. We’ve got our routine down now. Breakfast time is usually the most hectic part.
