The Grand Ashok Hotel Bangalore

The Grand Ashok Hotel sits over in the Kumara Krupa area, which is a fairly green part of Bangalore compared to the rest of the city. We have been here at High Grounds for quite a long time now. The building has seen many years go by, and you can tell by looking at the architecture that it’s from a different era. People mostly know us because of the location near the golf course and all the government buildings. It’s a bit quieter up here, though the traffic on the main roads still picks up during the day. We have a lot of staff who have worked here for years, just doing their jobs and making sure the place stays running. It takes a lot of effort to keep an older place like this in good shape, and there is always something that needs fixing or painting. Guests come here because they like the space and the trees around the property. It’s not like those brand-new glass hotels you see popping up everywhere else. We have our own way of doing things, which is just about being steady and showing up every day. The lobby is big and usually has a mix of business travelers and families visiting from out of town. We just go about our business, making sure the rooms are ready and the kitchen is busy. It’s a landmark in its own way, even if we don't make a big fuss about it.
