The Gatewayhotel,Vijayawada

So, we are over here at the Eugine Joseph Poovakunnel house in Ettumanoor. It is a bit of a quiet spot in Kottayam, really. People know us as The Gatewayhotel, Vijayawada, though the address says Kerala, which might confuse some folks at first. We just go about our business day to day in this part of Vettimukal. The weather gets pretty humid here during the afternoons, so we usually keep the fans running high in the lobby area. Most days start early with the birds outside and then the guests start moving around. We don't have a big fancy office or anything, just a desk and some chairs where we handle the bookings. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow when the rain hits hard, but we manage just fine. It’s mostly local people working here, people from around the neighborhood who know the roads well. We spend a lot of time just making sure the rooms are tidy and that there is enough water in the tanks. It isn't anything flashy, just a place to stay while you're passing through this part of the state. If you find yourself near the post office, you're pretty close to us. We’ve been here for a while now and most of the shops nearby know who we are. We just keep things simple and try to stay organized without making too much of a fuss about things or pretending to be something we are not.
