The Dusters,Bangalore

We’ve been over here at E-193 in the ITI Colony for a good while now. You can find us right on the 4th Cross in North Lane. It’s a busy part of Doorvani Nagar and we mostly spend our mornings getting the gear ready and checking the schedules for the day. Cleaning is one of those things that people just need done, and we’re the ones who handle the dusting and the scrubbing around here. Most of us have lived in Bangalore for ages, so we know how the dust gets in everything, especially during the dry months. It isn't always easy work, and sometimes the traffic makes getting across the city a real headache, but we show up and do the job. The office is tucked away, so people sometimes miss the turn near Vasu Devan’s place, but we’re there. We keep things pretty simple. There isn't a lot of fancy talk. We just grab our supplies and go where we’re supposed to be. Some days are busier than others, especially when the weather changes or there’s a lot of construction nearby. We mostly talk about the work while we’re having tea in the morning. It’s just a group of us trying to keep things tidy for whoever calls. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything, just our space in the colony where we keep the mops and the vacuums. It works for us and keep us moving.
