The Chancery

We’ve been here at 10/6 Lavalle Road for quite a while now. Most people know this part of Bangalore because it’s always busy and there is a lot of history on these streets. The Chancery is just part of the local scenery really. We have our regulars who come in and new people who just find us by chance. It’s not a fancy setup where everything is perfect, but we keep things running. Some days the traffic outside is loud and other days it is just normal Bangalore noise. Our staff is mostly local guys who have been with us through all the changes in the city. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. People just know where we are. The building itself has its own character and sometimes the elevators take a second longer than you’d expect, but that is just how it is. We spend a lot of our time making sure the rooms are tidy and that anyone who stops by has what they need. It gets busy during the weekends when everyone is out on Lavalle Road. We just try to keep up with the pace. It is a lot of work running a place like this in the middle of a big city. We don't have some big corporate philosophy to tell you. We just open the doors every morning and do the work that needs doing. It’s a simple way of living and working for us all. We appreciate the people who stop by.
