The Chancery Pavilion

The Chancery Pavilion is situated in Nakkanapalli village within the Santhipuram area of Chittoor district. It is a bit of a trek to get out here if you are coming from a big city. The landscape is mostly dry and there are hills in the distance. We have a building here that stands out because there isn't much else around it. Life moves a lot slower in this part of Andhra Pradesh compared to the cities. We have a small staff who looks after the property and the people who come to stay. Most of our guests are here for work in the nearby areas or just passing through the district. The sun is very strong during the day, so we spend a lot of time under the fans in the lobby. We don't have many fancy shops nearby, so we have to plan ahead for supplies. The nights are very quiet, which is something people seem to like when they visit from noisy places. We spend our time checking the rooms and making sure the garden plants don't dry up in the heat. It is a simple place with no big city rush. We just focus on keeping the place tidy and helping the folks who walk through our doors. It is a honest way to earn a living in a quiet village like this.
