The Chancery Hotel

We’re over at 32/18 on 5th Cross in Old Gurappan Palya. That’s in the B.T.M. I Stage part of Bangalore. If you know this area, you know it’s always crowded and full of energy. Our hotel is right in the middle of it. We’ve been operating here for years now. It’s not like those giant hotels you see in the magazines. We are more of a local fixture. We have people coming in for all sorts of reasons, some for work and some just visiting family. The building is a bit older, but we take care of it as best we can. We spend our days making sure the rooms are ready and answering the phone. It’s a lot of walking up and down the stairs. The neighborhood has so many small shops and places to eat, so our guests never go hungry. We don't have a marketing team writing stuff for us. We just tell it like it is. It’s a place to sleep and get your work done. Sometimes the traffic on 5th Cross is a nightmare, but that’s just Bangalore for you. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The staff here has been with us for a while, so we’re like a small community. We don't make big promises, we just try to be helpful when someone needs a room. It’s a practical business in a busy part of town. We see a lot of the same people.
