The Chancery Hotel

You can find us at 10/6 Lavelle Road in the middle of Bangalore. This street is one of those places that still has some old trees and a bit of a calmer feel compared to the rest of the city traffic. The building has been around for a good while, so it has that older style that you don't see as much in the newer parts of town. We spend our days mostly at the front desk or checking on the different floors to make sure things are in order. It is a lot of walking and talking to people who are just passing through the city. The lobby has a specific quietness to it, with heavy rugs and the sound of the elevators moving. We see all kinds of guests, from people here for quick business meetings to families who are seeing the sights. We try to keep things simple. If a bulb needs changing or a guest needs an extra towel, we just get it done. The kitchen stays busy starting from early in the morning, and the smell of coffee usually drifts through the ground floor. Working here on Lavelle Road, we see the city change through the seasons. It is a steady environment where we just focus on the daily tasks of running a hotel. We don't have any complicated philosophies. We just look after the building and the people inside it, making sure everyone has what they need for their stay.
