The Capitol

We are located at No.30 in Sri Sai Nilayam. It is right there in Kamala Nagar, tucked behind the Sampurna Theatre. You can often hear the movie crowds when a big show lets out and the whistles from the fans. Vanasthalipuram is a busy part of Hyderabad, and this pocket where we are is no different. The Capitol is just the name we use for what we do here. The building isn't very tall, but it’s easy enough to find if you know where the theater is. We spend a lot of time just keeping things running. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out in the dark. We don’t have fancy furniture or a big lobby. It’s just a few rooms where we get the work done. The street outside is usually lined with parked scooters. I've been coming here every morning for a long time. The local tea shop guy knows exactly how I like my chai. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just focus on the tasks at hand. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons during the summer. We keep the windows open but that lets the dust in. It’s a normal Hyderabad neighborhood where everyone is busy with their own business. We keep our records in some old ledgers and try to make sure everything adds up at the end of the month. The theater noise is just part of the background.
