Tenstar Clothing Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away in the Shivalaya Building at C-603 on C-In-C Road in Egmore. Egmore is always bustling with activity, and our office on the sixth floor is right in the thick of it. Since we are in the clothing business, the office is usually full of fabric swatches, rolls of material, and sketches pinned to the walls. It is not a sterile environment; it is a bit messy and creative, which is exactly how we like it. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or checking the quality of the latest samples that have come in. C-In-C Road is a well-known spot, so people never have trouble finding us, though the parking can be a bit of a nightmare. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. Most of our work happens behind the scenes, making sure the garments are made the way they should be. The staff is a mix of people who have been in the textile industry for years. We don't go for corporate jargon or long-winded speeches. If a sample is good, we say so. If it’s not, we fix it. It is a very hands-on way of working. We enjoy being in this part of Chennai because everything we need is within reach. It is just a regular clothing business run by people who know their fabrics and patterns.
