Tejaswini Sawkar

My place is at number 4 Kumara Krupa in a house called Yashaswi Nilaya. It is a residential street which means it is much quieter than the main roads. I have set up my work area in one of the front rooms. It is a very personal space with lots of books and some plants on the windowsill. This is where I handle all my business affairs and meet with people who need my help. I don't have a big sign outside or anything like that. Most people find me because someone they know told them about my work. It feels more like a home than a cold office building. I make my own tea and sometimes sit on the porch to think about a project. The house is old but it has been kept in good shape. There is a small garden out front that I try to look after when I have some spare time. I don't follow a strict corporate schedule. Sometimes I start very early and other times I work late into the evening if the task is important. It is just me running things here so I have to be organized. I keep my notes in physical journals because I like the feel of paper better than a screen. It is a steady way of living and I appreciate the peace that this location provides. Neighbors walk their dogs past the gate every morning.
