Technician

I’m Maheshgouda and I operate a small business named Technician. I’m currently set up at H. Srinivasu’s place, which is D. No. 40 on the 1st Main, 1st Cross in Netaji Nagar. It’s right near Jalahalli Cross in Bangalore. The location is pretty good because it’s easy for people to find once they get into the lane. I’ve got a small workspace there where I spend most of my hours. It’s full of wires, circuit boards, and the smell of solder. I don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just me and my tools. I’ve lived in Bangalore long enough to know how hard it is to find someone reliable to fix stuff, so I just started doing it myself. Netaji Nagar is a lively area, and there’s always something happening outside the door. Sometimes my friends from the neighborhood stop by for a chat while I’m working. I don't mind the company as long as I can keep my focus on the repairs. My desk is usually covered in small parts that I’ve taken out of various gadgets. I try to stay busy and there’s almost always a backlog of work sitting on the shelf. I don’t do any fancy marketing; I just rely on the fact that I’ve been here for a while and people know where to find me. It’s a modest way to work, but I like being my own boss and helping out the local folks with their technical problems.
