Teanquil Suites At Prestige Monte Carlo is our place over here in Virajpet. Shabarish Kumar runs things, and he’s the son of B.K. Vasu. We are out in South Coorg, which is a pretty quiet part of the world compared to the big cities. The address is just Virajpet Post, and everyone around here knows where that is. It’s a bit of a drive to get here, but the air is different. We don't have those big polished signs you see in Bangalore. It's just a regular spot where people stay when they are passing through or visiting the coffee estates. The building is part of the Prestige Monte Carlo area. Sometimes the rain gets really heavy and you can't see much out the windows, but it's nice when it clears up. We spend most of our mornings getting things ready for whoever is arriving. It isn't a corporate setup with a hundred people in suits. It’s just us. My uncle used to say that Coorg stays in your shoes because of the mud, and that’s true around here. We just try to keep the rooms decent and make sure there’s water. Shabarish is usually around if anyone needs something specific. It’s a simple life here in the hills. We don't do much advertising, mostly just people finding us because they want to be away from the noise for a few days. We have been here for years and it feels right.
