Teamleader

I am working as a teamleader out here in Chintamani. My house is at 1-558 on the 3rd Cross, right near Tank Bund Road. It is a bit of a distance from the main city, being in the Kolar district. Living here is different than being in the middle of Bangalore. Things move a little slower, which I don’t mind at all. My job involves looking after a group of people and making sure things get done. We deal with whatever tasks come our way during the week. I spend a lot of time checking on progress and talking to the guys. It’s not always smooth sailing. Sometimes people don't show up or the equipment acts up. I have to figure out how to fix those problems on the fly. The address 563125 is where I spend most of my downtime. Tank Bund Road is a familiar sight for me every single morning. I’ve been in this role for some time now. You learn a lot about how people work when you are the one in charge of the group. It is mostly about being practical and getting the day's work finished so we can all go home. I don't use a lot of big words or complicated plans. We just take it one day at a time. The neighborhood knows me as the guy who is always heading out early to get to the site. It is a decent enough life here in Kolar.
