Team Engineering

We are located in Shop No. 49/3-C on Andhrahalli Main Road, right across from the Shushruthi Bank. Being in Peenya 2nd Stage means we are surrounded by hundreds of other small shops that look just like ours. It is a crowded area with a lot of noise and motorcycles zooming past. Our shop isn't very big, so we have to be really careful about how we arrange the machinery so we can move around. We do mostly small-scale engineering jobs for local clients. People often come in with a hand-drawn sketch or just a broken part they need replicated, and we try to figure it out. We spend a lot of our time standing at the lathe or drilling holes. The floor is made of concrete and it usually has metal shavings everywhere, no matter how much we sweep up. It is just me and a few other guys working here. We know all the neighbors well, and sometimes we even borrow tools from each other when something breaks. The traffic on the main road can be a total nightmare in the evenings when everyone is leaving the industrial estate. We usually keep the metal shutter half-down when it starts to rain to keep the water from splashing inside. It is a simple setup we have here. We don't have any fancy computers, just our hands and some old-fashioned equipment that still works fine. Sometimes we stay late to finish a rush job for a customer who is in a hurry. We like the work, even if it is greasy and hard on the hands. It is just a standard Peenya workshop.
