You might see the Taj Residency name and immediately think of a big hotel, but here in Bangalore, we are all about books, sports gear, and music. It is a bit of an odd mix of things to have under one roof, but it seems to work out well for us and the people who visit. We have got shelves filled with all kinds of stuff that people actually like to use during their downtime. Whether someone is looking for a new novel to read on the bus or some sports equipment for a game on the weekend, they usually find something interesting here. We are not a giant warehouse store with thousands of employees. It is more of a local place where the items are picked out based on what people around the neighborhood are actually asking for. The music section is always a favorite for some, even if everything is going digital on phones these days. There is still something really nice about having a physical copy of an album or a book in your hands. We spend our days tidying up the aisles and helping people find that one specific thing they remembered from years ago. It is a relaxed atmosphere, and we enjoy the quiet moments when there are not too many customers and we can just flip through a magazine ourselves. It is a good way to earn a living, being surrounded by things that make people happy.
