Taam Restaurant

We've been here at Shama Manzil in Maruthi Nagar for a while now. Most people around Madivala know where we are, right in Chinnamma Layout. It's a busy spot, especially in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work. We usually start getting things ready pretty early in the morning so the food is fresh. There’s about five of us working in the kitchen and out front. It gets hot back there, but that’s just how it is. We don't have fancy menus or anything like that. Just the same dishes we've been making since we opened the doors. Sometimes the delivery guys are waiting around outside and it gets a bit crowded. The street can be noisy with all the traffic. I think a lot of our regulars live just a few streets away. They come in, grab a quick meal, and say hi. We try to keep the place clean, though it's hard when it rains and people bring mud in. Bangalore weather can be like that. We mostly just focus on getting the cooking right and making sure nobody leaves hungry. It’s a simple setup. If you walk past the layout, you’ll see our sign. Nothing special to look at from the outside, but we’re here every day. We’ve had some good years in this neighborhood. It feels like home to us now. We hope to stay around for more.
