My office is over at Sujatha Complex, 41278 Gandhi Nagar, right in Sector 27 D. It’s a lively part of the city, and finding a parking spot can be a real headache some mornings. I’ve been practicing as an advocate for a long time, so my room is basically wall-to-wall books and folders. It’s not a polished corporate law firm. It’s just me and my assistant working through cases. People come in with all kinds of problems, from property disputes to small legal matters that they just don't know how to handle. I spend a lot of my time reading, writing, and heading down to the courts. It’s a lot of waiting around in hallways and dealing with a mountain of paperwork. The complex itself is an old building, so sometimes the lift is out of order and we have to take the stairs. It keeps us fit, I suppose. I try to explain the law in a way that makes sense to regular people because all that legal jargon can be very confusing. We stay late most nights because there’s always one more file to look at. I don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. Most of the people who come to see me heard about me from a neighbor or a friend. It’s a quiet way to work, just focusing on the law and helping the folks who walk through that door in Gandhi Nagar.
