Swetha Engineering Works

Swetha Engineering Works is located over in Peenya 2nd Stage, specifically on the 9th Main Road Cross near Ridge Road. We’ve got a workshop at number 814 where we do all kinds of metal work and machining. It’s an industrial area, so it’s always loud with the sound of machines running. We have a few lathes and some welding equipment that we use every day. Most of what we do is making parts for other local businesses or fixing broken machinery. It’s greasy work and our hands are usually covered in oil by the end of the shift. We started out small and we’ve stayed pretty much the same size. There’s a lot of competition in Peenya, but we just focus on the jobs we have in front of us. Some days we are swamped with orders and other days we are just maintaining the tools. The shop floor is usually a bit messy with metal scraps, but that’s just how it goes in a place like this. We don’t have an office staff, so if you come by, you’ll probably find us at the machines. It’s a practical business. We’ve been on this cross road for years. We know the other shop owners around here. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We just take the drawings people bring in and try to make the parts right. There is always plenty to do and we just keep at it.
