Over here at Swasthik Tours & Travels, we spend a lot of time staring at computer screens and talking on the phone. Our office is tucked away at 1 HAL 2nd Stage, specifically on SV Lane. It’s not the biggest space, but we have enough room for a few desks and some old maps on the walls. Most of the day is spent trying to find routes that actually work for people without costing them too much money. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to apologize to the person sitting across from us. It’s just part of the job. We get a lot of locals dropping in to ask about bus timings or train tickets for their families. We aren't a big corporate agency with uniforms. Usually, it’s just us in regular clothes, drinking coffee and trying to sort out travel dates that keep changing. SV Lane can be quiet one minute and then totally blocked with scooters the next. We’ve been at this for a bit, so we know which roads are usually jammed and which ones aren't. Planning a trip involves a lot of small details that can get confusing, so we just write everything down on slips of paper for our visitors. It isn't glamorous work, but seeing someone get their tickets and leave is okay by us. We stay open until late most evenings because that is when people finish work and finally have time to stop by.
