Suryanarayana Advocate

My office, Suryanarayana Advocate, is situated at 158 Sanjay Nagar, R S Palya, right on Narayanappa Road. I’ve been practicing law from this location for quite some time. It is a very simple setup, nothing like the big law firms you see on TV. I have a small room filled with law books and stacks of paper that seem to grow every week. Sanjay Nagar is a nice place to work because it feels like a real community. People from the neighborhood come in with all kinds of legal questions, mostly about land or family matters. We sit down and talk through things over a cup of tea. I don't use any complicated legal jargon if I can help it. I prefer just explaining things clearly so people know where they stand. The building is a bit old, and the stairs can be a little creaky when you walk up. Narayanappa Road is usually busy with people going about their business. I like watching the activity from my window when I take a break. It’s just a one-man show mostly, though I have someone who helps with the filing now and then. I don’t have a big marketing plan; people just find me by word of mouth or by seeing the sign. It’s a quiet, steady life of reading and helping people with their documents.
