Our office is on Vittalevy Hospital Road in Dattathreya Nagar, right in the Hosakerehalli area of Bangalore. It’s a busy spot, and there is always something going on outside with the traffic heading toward the hospital. We deal with all sorts of measuring equipment here. The shelves are lined with boxes of different sizes, and there are always scales or meters sitting on the testing benches. It’s a very precise kind of job, so we spend a lot of time just looking at numbers and making small adjustments. The floor is concrete and the lighting is quite bright so we can see what we are doing. Near the front, there’s a small desk where we handle the paperwork and the phone calls. It’s not a huge place, so we have to be careful not to trip over things when we are moving equipment around. The Bangalore weather is usually okay, but it gets a bit stuffy in the back room when the sun is hitting the roof. We take turns going out to grab snacks from the shops nearby. It’s a straightforward operation. We just come in, do the calibrations, pack up the orders, and make sure everything is recorded properly. It’s been our routine for a long time now, and we just keep at it every day without complaining too much.
