Vivek Hegde

This place is at 304 Gana Apartments, which is tucked right behind the Govt Playground. It’s actually a pretty quiet spot for the most part, though you can hear the kids playing football or cricket in the evenings. Vivek Hegde started working from here because it was convenient. The apartment isn't huge, but it's enough space for the work that needs to happen. There are books piled up on almost every surface and a lot of notebooks scattered around. It feels more like a home than a strict business office, which is fine for the way things run here. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so walking up to the third floor is the morning workout. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try not to make too much noise. When people come over for meetings, they usually get lost trying to find the turn behind the playground, so we end up going down to the street to wave them in. It's a simple setup. There’s a balcony where we keep some plants that are mostly struggling to stay alive. We spend most of the day at the main table. It’s a low-key way to work, away from the big commercial blocks. Most of the work involves a lot of reading and writing. It is a practical arrangement that works for what is needed right now.
