We’ve been over here at 290/33 on 11th Cross in Basavanagar for a while now. Most days you’ll find us out at a site or messing around with blueprints in the small office on 4th Main. It gets dusty and loud, but that’s just part of the job when you’re dealing with concrete and steel. We do a lot of the structural stuff people don't think about until they need it. Some folks stop by to ask about house extensions or fixing up a wall. It’s mostly just us and a few guys we’ve known for years working through whatever project is on the list. Sometimes the weather slows things down, which is annoying, but we try to keep moving. The tools are usually piled up in the back of the truck. If you’re walking past 11th Cross, you might see the sign or just hear the noise. We aren't really the type to sit in front of computers all day. It’s more about being on the ground and seeing how the bricks are laying. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit from our spot. It’s a busy place. We just focus on getting the walls up and making sure the roof doesn't leak later on. It isn't fancy work, but it fills the day. We usually have a thermos of tea going and just get on with it until it’s time to head home.
