Suma Thomas

I’m located at number 321 in the Rainbow Drive Colony. It’s right off Sarjapur Road in Bangalore. Rainbow Drive is one of those older colonies that has a lot of trees and a bit more character than the new gated communities. My name is Suma Thomas and this is where I’m based. Sarjapur Road has become so crowded over the years, but once you turn into the colony, it feels a bit more human. The house at 321 is just a regular place. I don’t have a big corporate sign or anything. Most of my day is spent right here. I’ve lived in Bangalore for a long time and seen it change from a quiet place to this busy hub. Rainbow Drive has its own set of issues, like when the rains get too heavy and the roads flood a bit, but we manage. It’s a tight-knit kind of place. I usually work from the dining table or a small desk I have in the corner. There’s no big mission or fancy talk here. I just do what I need to do. The neighbors are nice, and we all know each other’s names. It’s a very local, simple way of operating. Sometimes the monkeys come by and make a mess on the porch, which is just part of living here. It’s not perfect, but it’s where I am. The commute outside the colony is a headache so I stay inside mostly.
