Steward

I work at Steward, which is located at Number 339 in Transport Nagar. We are right by the P.T.C Post in Madurai, Tamilnadu. The pin code is 625022. Being in Transport Nagar means there are always big trucks moving around and a lot of noise from the engines. It is quite a dusty area because of all the vehicles passing through. The office is a simple building with a tin roof in some parts. It gets very hot during the middle of the day, so we have a couple of big fans that we keep on high speed. I usually get to work on my motorbike, and I have to be careful of the big lorries on the main road. The office inside is pretty plain and functional. We have some wooden desks and chairs that have seen better days. There is a small calendar on the wall and a clock that is always five minutes fast. We don't have any fancy decorations or anything like that. Mostly, we just deal with the paperwork for the transport stuff. There is a small tea stall nearby where the drivers hang out, and sometimes I go there to get a glass of strong tea when I need a break. Madurai is a busy city, but out here in Transport Nagar, it feels like its own little world. It is a bit rough around the edges, but we get the job done and everyone here knows their role.
