Star Corporation

Our workshop is located in the Peenya Industrial Estate, specifically on the 4th Main in the 4th Phase. If you know the Peenya II Stage area, you know it is mostly just a lot of noise and heavy machinery everywhere. Star Corporation has been here for a good amount of time. The floor of the shop always has a bit of oil or dust on it no matter how many times we try to clean it up in the evenings. It is just the nature of the work we do with metal and parts. We have a small office section at 279/A where the phone sits, but most of the real work happens in the back. There are five of us who work here regularly. We don't really have a boss who walks around in a suit. We all just wear our work clothes and get our hands dirty. The power cuts are a bit of a problem in this part of town, so we often have to stop what we are doing and wait for the generator to kick in. It gives us a chance to have a cigarette or some tea near the entrance. We don't have a big marketing department or any brochures to hand out. People usually just find us because they need something specific made or fixed. It’s a simple life and we like the routine of it.
