Our office is out in Coorg, specifically at the J P Compound on the Virajpet Main Road. It’s a beautiful part of Karnataka, though the rain can be quite something during the monsoon months. We handle properties and hospitality stuff from this small base in Siddapur. Most of the time, the office is filled with the smell of coffee because, well, it’s Coorg. We spend our days talking to people who want to buy land or folks looking for a place to stay while they visit the plantations. It isn't a high-pressure environment here. We take our time with the paperwork and often end up chatting with neighbors who just drop in for a bit. The main road can get busy with trucks and tourist buses, but inside the compound, it stays relatively peaceful. We have a few old wooden desks and some chairs that have seen better days, but they do the job just fine. Sometimes we have to drive out to various sites, so the office might be empty for an hour or two in the afternoon. We don’t really follow a strict corporate schedule. If the sun is out and things are slow, we might take a slightly longer lunch. It’s just how things work in this part of the country, and we wouldn't want to change the pace of how we do things.
