Being based in Tirumala is a bit different than being in a big city like Hyderabad. We are located at 142 'E' Type Quarters. It is a quiet area mostly, away from the huge crowds of pilgrims that come to the hills. Our work at Ssinfra involves a lot of looking at plans and dealing with local infrastructure projects. The office is not very big and it feels more like a home than a workplace. We have a few computers and a large table where we spread out the blueprints. Most of the time it is just a couple of us here working through the details of various development projects. The air up here is a bit better than down in the plains. We don't really have a big sign outside or anything like that. People who need our consulting services usually know where to find us or they get our address through word of mouth. Sometimes we have to travel down the hills for meetings, which takes up a lot of the day. Inside the office, things are kept simple. We have a small stove for making tea and enough chairs for when someone drops by to discuss a project. It is a slow and steady kind of work. We aren't trying to build an empire; we are just handling the local jobs that come our way in this part of Andhra Pradesh. It is a practical life.
