I’m located at 12 Cubbonpet Main Road, up on the second floor. It’s near Banappa Park Road and the 10th Cross. Getting up the stairs can be a bit of a workout every morning when I arrive, but it's okay once you’re inside. My name is Srinivasa Gowda B R and this is where I handle my daily affairs and paperwork. The office isn't very large. It’s mostly filled with stacks of papers, some old books, and wooden furniture that has seen better days. Cubbonpet is a crowded area with lots of small shops and narrow lanes. You can hear the sounds of the market and people shouting from the window. I don't have a team of assistants or a fancy front desk with a computer. It’s just me and sometimes a helper who comes in. People come by when they have specific things to discuss or paperwork that needs looking at. I’ve been in this neighborhood for a long time, so I know most of the people who live and work around here. We talk about the weather or the local news before getting down to any business. The light in the office is okay in the mornings but gets a bit dim later on in the day. I use an old desk lamp then. It’s a simple way of working without any of the modern gadgets that everyone seems to have now. I prefer it this way. It’s quiet and I can get things done without too much distraction.
