Srihari International Travel Agency (Iata)

Our office is Srihari International Travel Agency (Iata) and we are at 73 Ghee Mandi in Amritsar. Being in Ghee Mandi means we are right in the thick of things. It’s a very old part of the city and it is always crowded with people and scooters. We have been at this same spot for a lot of years. We are an IATA agency, so we spend most of our time booking flights for people. It is a small shop, and we have a couple of desks where we sit with customers to look at the different travel routes. It’s not a fancy place at all. We have stacks of brochures that are probably out of date and a lot of registers where we write things down. Sometimes the power goes out in the market and we just have to wait it out. People from the local neighborhood come to us because they know us. We don't do any big advertising. We just try to find the best tickets for them. It’s a lot of work to keep track of all the visa rules and the flight times, but we’ve gotten used to it over time. The office can get a bit cramped when more than two people walk in at once, but we make it work. It’s just a simple, honest travel shop in the middle of Amritsar where we do our business every day.
