Sri Venkateshwara Garment

Our little shop, Sri Venkateshwara Garment, is located at C-11/1 in Srirampuram. It’s a quiet enough street compared to the main markets, which is nice because we can actually hear ourselves talk. We have been working out of this space for a good amount of time now. The room is filled with racks of clothes that we organize every single morning. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when more than three people are inside at once, but we make it work. We usually have the radio playing some old songs in the background while we sort through the new arrivals. The address C-11/1 isn’t hard to find once you get into the right block of Srirampuram. We don't do any big advertisements or anything; people just see the sign and walk in. My neighbor helps me out during the festival seasons when everyone wants new outfits at the same time. The floor is just plain cement, and we have a few old wooden stools for people to sit on if they’re waiting. It’s a very basic setup, nothing like those big malls you see in the city. We just focus on getting the clothes out of the boxes and onto the hangers. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door, so we have to move the boxes around to keep them dry. It’s just a regular daily routine of opening up, tidying the piles, and talking to neighbors. It's how we spend our days here.
