Sri Maruthi Travel Agent is over at Malleshwaram 8th Cross. The address is Mubarak Manzil 35/2. It is a very lively part of town. You can hear the temple bells sometimes if the wind is blowing the right way. We have a small space here. It is mostly filled with some old maps and a few calendars on the wall. We help people with their travel plans. It could be a simple bus ticket or a car for the whole day. My uncle started this place a long time ago. I am here most days now. We have a wooden desk that has been here forever. It has quite a few scratches on the top. We do not use fancy computers for everything we do. Some things are just better when they are written down in the big book. Customers come in and sit for a bit. We talk about their families and where they are heading for the holidays. It is more of a conversation than a transaction. Malleshwaram has changed a lot over the years. There are more shops and many more cars now. But our little corner stays pretty much the same. We just keep doing what we know. The office can get a bit dusty because of all the road work going on outside. We just sweep it out in the morning and start the day.
