Sri Lakshmi Novelties

We have been here at Balaji Complex in Lingarajapuram for some time now. It is shop number 36. Most days it is just us managing the shelves and making sure everything is where it should be. The area gets quite busy in the evenings when everyone is returning from work and they stop by to see what is new in the racks. We keep a variety of small things that people usually need for their homes or for gifts. It is not a very big place, just a regular corner shop really. We spend a lot of time organizing the items because things tend to get messy when customers are looking through stuff. Sometimes the lighting in the complex is a bit dim, but we try to keep our shop bright so people can see what they are buying. Lingarajapuram has changed quite a bit over the years with more traffic and new buildings coming up around us. We just stay here and do our work every day. It is a simple life running a novelty store. We know most of the people who live nearby and they know where to find us if they need a quick hair clip or some decorative items for a function. It is just a local business trying to keep things going. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. Just shelves filled with bits and pieces that we think might be useful for the neighborhood families. It's a lot of dusting and re-arranging, but that's just part of it.
