Sri Ganesh Hardware

Sri Ganesh Hardware is on the ground floor over at 41527 Jaya Chamarajendra Road. We are right by Sri Chowdeswari, which most people around here know as a local landmark. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of things you might need for a house. We have bins full of rusty nails, rows of paint cans, and racks of hand tools. It is a bit of a maze inside if you don't know your way around. Jaya Chamarajendra Road is always packed with traffic, so it can be a bit of a struggle to find a place to park your bike or car nearby. We spend our days helping people find that one specific bolt or a certain shade of green paint. It’s a lot of standing on our feet and climbing up rickety ladders. The floor is hard concrete and has seen better days. We don't bother with fancy displays or clever marketing. People come in, ask for what they need, and we go find it in the back room or up on a high shelf. It’s dusty work but we like the pace of it. The air smells like metal and oil most of the time. We get a mix of builders and regular folks trying to fix a leaky tap. We treat everyone the same and just try to be helpful. It is a straightforward business with no frills. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down.
