Sri Dhanalakshmi Novelty

Sri Dhanalakshmi Novelty is situated right near the Yellamma Temple in Electronic City. Even though Electronic City is known for all the big IT companies and modern glass buildings, our corner near the temple feels a bit more traditional. We get a lot of people stopping by after they visit the temple, especially on festival days or Tuesdays and Fridays. Those are our busiest times, and the energy around here is really something else. The rest of the week is a bit more relaxed. We spend that time cleaning the glass cases and organizing the newer items that come in. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be smart about how we stack things on the shelves. We don't have a website or a big social media presence. We mostly just rely on people seeing us when they walk by the temple. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and standing for long hours. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon makes us a bit sluggish, but there’s always something that needs doing. We’ve been here for a while now and have seen the whole area grow up around us. It’s interesting to see the mix of old traditions and new technology every day. We just focus on our small corner and keep doing what we’ve always done. It’s just a normal shop trying to do things the right way for the local people.
