Sri Balaji Exports

Down here at Old Thargupet 1, things stay moving. It’s one of those old parts of town where the streets are narrow and you’re always dodging a cart or a scooter. Sri Balaji Exports is tucked right into the mix. We have been at this address for quite some time, and the walls show it. There is plenty of dust because of all the trucks that pass by Old Thargupet every single morning. We usually open up the shutters by nine and start sorting through the daily tasks. It isn't a quiet place to work, but you get used to the shouting from the market outside. We have a small desk near the front where we keep the ledgers, and the rest of the space is just for the goods. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour or two in the afternoon, so we just sit on the steps and wait it out. Sri Balaji Exports isn't trying to be anything fancy. We just have our routine and we stick to it. The tea here is strong and the local shops have been around as long as we have. It feels like a community even if everyone is busy doing their own thing. When you walk into number 1, you see exactly what we are about without any polish or extra talk. It’s just us working in a crowded corner of the city. We don't plan on moving soon.
