Sree Arihant Gifts & Times is our little shop on the ground floor of the Khallel Building in Chickpet. If you know where the Vijayalakshmi Theater is, then you’ve basically found us. We are right there in Chaitanya Dham. It’s a very busy area, especially on the weekends when everyone is out shopping. Our shop is packed with all sorts of things, from wall clocks to small gift items that people pick up for weddings or birthdays. The space is a bit tight because we like to keep a lot of stock on the shelves. There is a constant ticking sound from all the watches and clocks, which you get used to after a few days of working here. We spend most of our time helping people find something that fits their budget without too much fuss. Chickpet is the kind of place where you have to be ready for anything, from a sudden rush of customers to the heat in the afternoon. We don’t have a website or fancy brochures. We just open the doors every morning and see who comes in. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside the shop for a bit of air when it’s slow. Being near the theater means we get a lot of foot traffic after the movies let out. It’s just a normal shop doing normal business for people who need a simple gift.
