Sr Software Engineer In Robert Bosch

We work out of Door No 410 on the 10th Cross in the 3rd Block of H M T Layout, Vidyaranyapura. This part of Bangalore is actually quite green compared to the more central areas, which is nice for software engineering work. We are part of the Bosch ecosystem, but our day-to-day life is right here in this layout. The office is really just a place where we sit with our laptops and try to figure out coding problems. It’s a quiet street for the most part, though you get the occasional vendor shouting outside or dogs barking. We’ve got a lot of cables and monitors everywhere. Since we are in Bangalore, we deal with the usual power cuts now and then, though we have backups to keep the servers running. The commute can be a bit long depending on where people are living, but Vidyaranyapura is a solid place to be based. We aren't about big corporate slogans. We just write the code and test the software until it does what it’s supposed to do. It’s a lot of trial and error and long hours staring at screens. We take breaks to walk down the cross and get some fresh air when the code gets too confusing. It’s a pretty simple existence here, just focused on the technical side of things and making sure our part of the project stays on track without any unnecessary fuss.
