Spokesman

Our shop, Spokesman, is tucked away at 68/35 Ulsoor Ratan Pole. It is one of those old-fashioned spots where the streets are a bit narrow and the buildings have a lot of history. We have been here for a long time, mostly focusing on bicycles and anything to do with wheels. If you walk inside, you will see wheels hanging from the ceiling and shelves overflowing with spare parts. It is a bit crowded, and you have to be careful not to trip over a frame or a toolbox. We are not a high-end boutique. It is just a place where we get our hands dirty fixing punctures and truing up bent rims. Most of the day is spent sitting on a low stool with a wrench in hand. We like the pace of life here in Ulsoor. Neighbors often drop by just to say hello or to ask if we have a specific old part they can't find anywhere else. We don't have any fancy marketing. The name is just painted on a board outside. It is a small operation, usually just two of us working through the pile of repairs. Sometimes the light in the back is a bit dim, but we know where everything is by touch. We just enjoy the work and the people who come through the door. It is a basic, honest way to make a living. The smell of oil and old tires is something you just get used to after a while.
