Spice Islands Apparel Limited is based out of the 193-b unit in the 3rd Phase of the KIADB Industrial Area in Peenya. Peenya is a huge industrial hub, and we are right in the middle of it. It is a big, busy area with trucks moving constantly and the sound of industry everywhere. Our building is a large warehouse style setup. We have rows of machines and a lot of people working on different parts of the garment process. It is a high-volume place, so there is always something happening on the floor. We don't do fancy meetings or have a polished showroom for guests. Most of our day is spent on the factory floor making sure the production lines are running smoothly. The heat in Peenya can be tough during the summer months, but we keep the big industrial fans going to stay cool. We have been operating here for years and we know the ins and outs of large-scale manufacturing. It is about getting the orders out on time and making sure the quality is decent before things are packed. We have a lot of long-term workers who have been with us through many seasons. It is a gritty, hardworking environment, and we like it that way. There is no pretense here, just a lot of fabric being turned into clothes every single day while we listen to the radio and keep moving.
