Our office is tucked away at 87/D6Shig in the New Town part of Yealahanka. It’s a bit of a drive from the main Bangalore city hub, but we like it out here in Banagalore-64 because it’s a little less chaotic. The building is one of those standard ones you see in the New Town area, nothing too flashy on the outside. We usually get in around nine and start by opening up all the windows to let some air in before the sun gets too strong. There are always stacks of files and boxes around because we do a lot of coordination from this desk. Most of the people working here live close by, so we talk about the local market or the new shops opening up on the weekends. The tea guy comes by twice a day, which is usually the highlight when things get busy with the paperwork. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the address on the gate. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit and chat until the backup kicks in or the lights come back on. It’s a practical workspace where we focus on getting the day's tasks done. We’ve been in this spot for a good while and the walls are covered with old calendars and notes we’ve stuck up over the years. It isn't much to look at, but we've got our routine down and the neighborhood is friendly enough for us to stay put for the long haul.
